How to use different page orientation (Using both Portrait and Landscape on the same document) in Microsoft word
Page orientation refers to the direction for printing or displaying the document in Word.
Sometimes we may need the page orientation for a particular page to be different from the rest of the pages. For example, a page with the big table, large images, wide charts/maps or other parts of documents which are wider, it is more convenient to use the Landscape mode. However, other parts of the document must still be in Portrait mode, so in this case we need to use different orientation which is appropriate for each content.
There are different ways to do this, here I will show you two different methods to do it
Method 1.
Step 1. Select the text, table or image you want to change orientation and click on page layout
Step 2: click on dropdown arrow margin, then click on custom margin
Step 3. Once you click on custom marge, click on margins tab, then click / select the desired orientation, finally under apply to section, click
Click ok and Done!
Method 2:
If you have many pages which you want to convert the orientation to a different one , you don't have to select all that page , what you have to do is , just follow the below steps :
Step 1: click at the beginning of the page you want to change the orientation , the click on page layout , then margins and then custom margins (just follow the steps in method 1)
Step 2: Then , select the orientation you want , after that click on dropdown arrow next to apply to , select this point forward , the click ok.
Now the orientation of the all the pages starting from where you have clicked will be changed to the type of orientation you selected.
If you still have some issues for some of the pages after you did method 2 , repeat it on the pages you want the orientation to be changed again.
