How to Control access to our Wi-Fi through MAC address in D-link (DSL-124) wireless router

Sometimes it becomes necessary to control devices who have access to our internet using different mechanism, one of the mechanism
is to control using MAC address, to do this I will show you step by step:

1. The first step is to login to your D-link Admin page, which is usually through the 192.168.1.1, the user name and the password is admin

2. Once you logged in to the admin page, click on the advanced tab, the hover to the advanced wireless link and click on access control

3. Now from wireless access control window select either Allow listed or Deny listed from the drop down menu and then apply changes

Remember : Allow listed , gives access to your wireless internet to MAC Addresses you have added , Deny Listed will prevent only the MAC address you have added and all others will have access to you Wi-Fi.

After click on Apply changes, the router will restart to apply the change.

 4. After you selected one of the two options (Allow listed or Deny listed), the text box next to MAC Address will be enabled, then

type the MAC address you want to allow and click on Add

Every time you clicked on Add, the router will restart to apply the changes

When you add the MAC Address to, you will not include the hyphens (-) which exists between the MAC address, you need to simply add the plain texts.

You can add as match MAC address as you want, below I have added three MAC addresses, if you want to delete, MAC address from what you have added, you delete it by select on the radio button and clicking on Delete selected or Delete all

Now only the MAC addresses you have added , will be allowed or dinied to/from accessing your wi-fi network

Thanks !
